Whilst posting our last competition win £1000 to spend on that perfect engagement ring and seeing all the images of our customer’s favourite rings I couldn’t help but think ‘who could say no to a ring like that’. There is such a vast collection of styles when it comes down to that perfect engagement ring, it really is a tricky choice. We at browns family jewellers wanted to share a little bit on the styles we love.
Those perfect styles that exude glamour and elegance
The halo engagement ring
The diamond halo ring is perfect in every way, one large central diamond of all cuts and sizes surrounded by the perfect angel halo of pavé or claw set diamonds (extra diamonds yes please!). This ring really creates that wow factor the diamonds capture the light fantastically. What is not to love. The classic halo design is often associated with fine narrow shoulders which can be further ornamented with diamonds creating a glistening array across the finger. The halo ring originated in the 1920’s when Art Deco was at the forefront of design. This spectacular design is fast becoming one of the most popular style of engagement rings just sitting slightly behind that classic solitaire ring.

This diamond halo engagement ring features an octagonal cut diamond to the centre surrounded by brilliant cut diamonds. This is the perfect example of a great halo design. The shoulders are further accented with brilliant cut diamonds creating that dazzling sparkle.
This fabulous diamond solitaire ring has a great classic design featuring an impressive brilliant cut diamond, eight claw set in a pierced decorated basket style setting. The elegant tapering shoulders blend seamlessly into the setting. The diamond is allowed to capture the light fantastically with this ring, its elevated design sits very well on the finger.
This stunning vintage diamond trilogy ring has a fantastic classic design, the great swallow tipped claw vintage setting is embellished with three Old European cut diamonds (my personal favourite cut diamond!
