It couldn’t be simpler, follow these easy steps to find your ring size.

  • Place the tapering edge of the ring sizer through the slip to form a loop.
  • Wrap the loop around your finger; till it fits neatly around the finger, not too tight that you can’t get the loop off!
  • Read your size from the indications on the ring sizer.
  • The video below demonstrates the process if you have any problems.

BUYING A SURPRISE GIFT, HOW TO SECRETLY GET A RING SIZE?

If you are planning on buying a ring as a gift or an engagement, then the best way to get an indication of the ring size is to sneakily borrow an existing ring from the correct finger. Follow the guide below to help determine the ring size, bear in mind this is a good indication but if further sizing is required then do not panic a member of the Browns team is always at hand.

 MEASURING AN EXISTING RING

  • Sneakily find the ring that fits or fits close enough to the desired ring finger.
  • Simply place the ring over the circles below, match the inner circumference of the ring to the circle.
  • Bear in mind if the ring you are planning on purchasing has more of a substantial width you may require a slightly larger size.

A FEW HANDY TIPS AND TRICKS

  • Measure your ring size at the end of the day – when your fingers are at their warmest.
  • Remember the difference between sizes, is the width of a 50 pence, this really helps to put sizing into perspective.
  • Ensure that the ring sizer fits perfectly around your finger with a slight tug around the knuckle, but remains loose enough to easily get over the finger.

 THINGS TO AVOID

  • Measuring your finger size when you are cold is a mistake, your fingers are about half a size smaller, so make sure that your hands are toasty.
  • We all love fizz and salt, but if you have planned a fun evening out then avoid measuring your fingers the next day. Alcohol and salt and can lead to your fingers swelling and you won’t get a true understanding of your ring size.

Measure your finger a few times for peace of mind, remember no question is too big or small, our team at browns are always happy to help.  Simply email us enquiries@brownsfamilyjewellers.co.uk or call us on (0)800 8021 772.
