How long can I take out on Finance?

We offer up to 12 months interest free credit or alternatively if you wish to take your finance over longer we offer up to 48 months interest bearing credit at 9.9%

Can I apply as a student?

To apply for online finance, you must be over the age of 18, work at least 16 hours a week, or be retired with an income. You must also be a resident of the United Kingdom and have lived in the UK for the last 12 months or more. Unfortunately, this does mean that if you do not meet these requirements as a student you would not be accepted. If your order is up to £1500 please click here for our Klarna options.

Who is eligible for Finance?

You must also be a resident of the United Kingdom and have lived in the UK for the last 12 months or more. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer online finance to residents of Eire. Homemakers aren't excluded from applying under their own names; however the employment details of your spouse / partner will be required in order to process your application.

Can I apply for finance over the phone?

The option to finance your purchase is accessible both in our physical store and on our website. Please note that we are unable to process finance requests over the phone. Thank you for your understanding

What happens when I'm credit checked and what does that mean?

Credit scoring is the process used by financial services companies to evaluate the credit risk of new applicants. This technique will be applied to your application for online finance. Credit scoring works by awarding points for each answer given on the application form such as age, income and occupation, together with information obtained from credit reference agencies.
This information allows consistent decisions to be provided, ensuring all applicants are treated fairly. Credit scoring does not discriminate on the grounds of sex, race, religion or disability.

How do I choose to pay by Finance?

Just add your chosen item to your basket and proceed through checkout. During this process, you'll find an option to choose Novuna finance. Click on it, and you will be redirected to the page where you can initiate your application.

How long does it take to be approved?

This can vary from application to application dependant on whether further information is needed.

Why is my order status referred?

All this means is that Novuna may need a little more information in order to make their decision.

Why have I been asked to provide more information?

The information provided helps Novuna make the decision on your application.

What do I have to do when my finance has been accepted?

All that is left to do is sign your agreement and pay your deposit. Our team can then dispatch your item for you to enjoy

How do I access my agreement to sign it and pay the deposit?

When your application has been previously referred then its status changes to Finance accepted, you should rexieved an email that allows you to reaccess your application. Unable to access your application? reach out to our customer service team here.

Can I overpay or pay my agreement early?

While the monthly payment remains fixed, a one-time lump sum payment can be made via the Novuna Finance Customer service team. You are able to settle your finance agreement at any point by obtaining a settlement amount from the Novuna Customer Experience Team or the Novuna app. For interest-free credit agreements, only the outstanding balance needs to be paid, with no additional fees or interest. In the case of interest-bearing credit agreements, the settlement amount will comprise the remaining balance along with any interest accrued since the last monthly payment, plus 30 days' interest, as the figure is valid for 30 days.

Can I request delivery to an address other than my home?

We are unable to change the address on an order paid for via Novuna finance, This is due to the safeguarding protocols Novuna have in place

If you decline my application, what is the reason?

In addition to credit scoring, we also take into account confirmation of your identity, validation of certain application details, existing commitments and information held at the credit reference agencies. Though we are unable to provide you with a main reason for decline of your application, it is usually based on one, or a combination of the following:

  • Your credit score (note that every finance company will score you differently)
  • Adverse credit reference agency information
  • You are considered to be overcommitted
  • You are aged under 18
  • Your existing account performance with other lenders
If my application is not successful, can I re-apply?

Yes. We acknowledge that your circumstances change and just because Novuna have refused a previous application, it does not mean that your request will be turned down automatically. We do suggest however, that you leave at least 6 months between applications.

Are there any arrangement fees or hidden extras for credit?

No. There are no arrangement fees or hidden extras.

What type of information do credit reference agencies hold about me?

Some of the information is public information, for example electoral roll, County Court Judgements and bankruptcies. Other lenders may also file information about accounts you hold with them for instance this could include your payment history and outstanding balance on these accounts. Any requests for credit, where a credit reference search has been undertaken, will also be filed, although the result of the request is not recorded.

How do I obtain a copy of this information?

You should send a cheque for £2.00 made payable to the relevant company, together with details of all addresses at which you have lived over the last 6 years:
